April Pools Day is our annual, free community water safety event hosted each spring. Held at our indoor facility, the event runs rain or shine—ensuring families always have access to this important experience.
Participants rotate through 5–7 interactive stations, each focused on a different aspect of water safety. Activities are designed to be hands-on, engaging, and age-appropriate, helping children and families learn by doing.
This event is open to the community at no cost, making it accessible to families across King County.

Even when resources vary year to year, the mission remains the same: ensure every participant leaves with greater confidence and knowledge around water. By meeting families where they are and making learning interactive, we create a lasting impact that goes beyond a single day.

With your help, we can continue reaching more families each year—regardless of weather, resources, or financial barriers.
Every gift helps ensure more children and families leave with the knowledge and confidence to stay safe in and around water. Donations directly fund event supplies, instructional staff, and hands-on learning stations that teach critical safety skills.
We still want to spread our mission about water safety education and hope that you can encourage more practice with the info in our activity book!
Thank you to everyone who came by! We hope you all enjoyed yourselves and learned something new. We are thankful for those who support our annual event. Check back in to see pictures in our recap.
