Our instructor-led classes run for 30 minutes with a one teacher to four students ratio in the beginner classes. We encourage parents to communicate student's learning style(s) to instructors. Click below to see all the classes we have available! Note: Please press apply filter before you do anything else.
Please reach us at ecacpool@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
You will need an account for you and an account for your swimmer. This includes first and last names, an email that you as a guardian has access to, and a phone number. All these details will help staff differentiate swimmer of the same names. You can sign up on our Wellness Living Achieve app (links above), in-person, email, or calling.
You can come in person anytime we are open, call in, or use our app/ website. We prioritize registrees in person and will answer phones when available. Emails will be answered after that. You can come in as early as we open and as late as 7:45pm. Please keep in mind that our staff takes breaks and that means we have gap hours for those transitions.
Registration time opening is based on when we can add them into the system manually. This could mean that it's available at 5:30am or early or late like at 6am.
When you sign up, you will either be on the waitlist or in the class. If you are in the class, you will be qualified for pre-registration for the next month. If you are on waitlist, you will be only qualified for open registration...Sign up is monthly and dates will be posted below.
Pre-Registration days are usually on Wednesday and Open Registration days are usually on Fridays. Because our system is based on first come basis, our system will set pre-registration status to those who were in classes (not waitlist) the previous month (whoever's account was used). Those students are able to register at pre-registration. Anyone on waitlist or is returning from gap months will only have status for open registration.
Pre-Registration: For students enrolled in the current month only.

You will need to register EVERY MONTH to stay in lessons- our enrollment does not roll over. There are no automatic enrollments.
Our waitlists do not roll over each month. Our waitlists are there just for students who decide not to continue lessons. Each month, the waitlist will restart for each class. Our waitlist does not have a capacity. If classes and waitlists are full, you can try to check in towards the latter half of the month. We can't guarantee that the waitlist will move often.
There could be several reasons regarding why you can't see and sign up for classes. If not a system issue, it could be when you last registered. If you were not able to get into classes the previous month (a gap month) and were on the waitlist, this changes your status and would require you to sign up on open registration days. If this is not the case, then please call us to sign up. Once signed up, we can figure it out together.
$9.00/class/per person in the month. Amount of classes arise based on the number of days within the month.
Cost Example: in January, there are usually more Tuesdays and Thursdays combined (9 total) than Monday and Wednesday classes (8). So the totals for M/W would've been $72 and T/Th is $81.
Yes! $5.00/class/per person in the month IF you have the qualifying insurance. This would be considered our scholarship program.
Cost Example: If you sign up for classes on M/W and there are 4 Mondays and 5 Wednesdays, $5.00 x 9 classes = $45.00 per person for the month. If two people are signed up its $45 x 2 people = $90 per person for the month.
Scholarship Eligibility:
1. Medicaid or AppleHealth (Molina) card
Please bring the swimmer(s) card (or a picture of it) OR a letter for reduce lunch in when you register for classes and we can note that across all your account(s).

Students in each level should have the ability to do these skills without help and confidently before passing to the next level.
P1 (ages 3 to 5)/ B1(ages 6 to 12): Water Adjustment (swims at least 7 ft in distance):
P2 / B2: Stroke Development (halfway point in pool)
Intermediate: Technique & Stamina Development (25 yards)
Advanced: Endurance Development (50 yards)
Pre-Competition: Perfecting Technique (one hour/ sets)
Note: All Students in the Intermediate level or above can apply to SMAC, the year round swim team that practices at our pool, as long as skills are strong and stamina is built enough for hour long practices.
Adult and Pre-Teen classes are available on specific days. These classes are based on the skill level and goal, but will have a one teacher to four to five student ratio.
For new swimmers: ask the front desk to schedule a swim test.
If you don't know your level, we recommend a pre-test! Pre-tests can be done Monday - Friday from 4:15pm or 7:00pm. Any child returning to our program from a break of 3+ months must be pre-tested before registering for classes. It is common for a child's skills to regress slightly after a long hiatus. We feel that pre-tests are the best way to ensure all children receive the best quality lesson instruction.
Tests are free and only take a few minutes to complete. There is no need to schedule one in advance, just show up a few minutes early and have children be prepared to get into the water. If you believe your child would fit into our P1/B1 classes there is no need to pre-test them.
Next level requirements:
They pass the skills test for their current level, supervised by management.
Note: If you want to know early if your child has passed, please ask their instructor after class. If the instructor is unavailable, please ask management.
No worries! We suggest swim testing less than 5 minutes). Please come prepared to get into the pool including your own towel for post swim. Times to test would be Monday - Friday from 4:15pm or 7:00pm.
Note: If these times don't work for you, come in or give us a call and we will set up a time that works best for you.
Reminder for students in swim lessons in any month: All students enrolled have free public swim access for time enrolled. This is encouraged as it's extra practice time and learn to have fun. Parents do need to pay for themselves and children under the
age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult.

We have our Parent Tot class! This class is for parent/guardians to help their child gain comfort and confidence in the water. It is a 30 minute instructor led class that goes over skills such as blowing bubbles, floating, getting in/out of pool + more!
We are currently offering this class on Saturday mornings.
We can only allow 1 parent/guardian to be in the pool with the child, although if we have a small class, 2 adults may join.
We begin this class with kiddos as young as 3 months and go to 3 years old. Each child is different so practicing outside of class can be very helpful to your child's progress. We begin our preschool lessons at 3 years old.
For any other questions, feel free to come in or give us a call and we can help you out!
Parent-tot: 6 months - 3 years
Preschool: 3 - 6 years
Beginner: 6 - 13 years
Teen: 13 - 17 years
Adult: 18+
Note: We will put you in class based on skills if appropriate.
You can check in at the front desk. There, you can pay for the lessons if you have not paid yet. On the first day of classes, instructors will call off student’s names on the pool deck- it's a little hard to hear sometimes but instructors are usually good at being in one spot every lesson. If you have any questions, please ask the front desk person or a free instructor.
We have lockers that you can bring locks to use with. You can bring your personal belongings into the deck with you.
Note about locker rooms: Children over the age of 6 use the locker room appropriate to their gender. Children older than 6 that still require assistance will be allowed to go into the locker room with their parents, however we ask that they use the changing tents. When arriving at EAC, please enter and exit through the locker rooms. The hallway leading from the front office to the pool is for staff only. We have showers, changing tents, and diaper station for usage
Everyone is completely different! Learning how to swim takes time. Progress will depend on goals, comfort in the water, and a variety of other factors. Don't quit or go beyond your current abilities if you/your child remain in the same level for 6 months or longer. In our program we emphasize correct technique in combination with comfort and endurance in the water. Mastering this combination takes time.
Swimming takes time to learn! Students may take several months to complete each level before moving on to the next one. We focus on correct technique in our swimming lesson program and this takes time to master.
Note about Instructors: Instructors may have substitutes during their absence, we will try our best to accommodate certain needs for students when this happens. Talking with your instructor: Communication between parents and instructors is encouraged. Feel free to gain the attention of your instructor at the beginning and end of classes to ask any questions. Instructor advice: You know your child better than anyone. If you have any helpful advice about your child for your instructor, feel free to tell them.
Beginner students, especially those in the P1 class, do cry sometimes. Our instructors are prepared to deal with crying students, attendance is still encouraged. We recommend children attend class each day and remain with their teacher through the duration of the lesson. Children often do better when the parent distances themselves farther away from their child and it is important for learning that students bond with their teacher. We ask all parents to sit on the bleachers, at a comfortable distance away from their child(ren).
Not for Beginner level classes and up. Only our parent-tot classes require a parent in the water.
Our pool temperature is kept between 82- 84 degrees and is above the recommended temperature of the American Red Cross.
For swimmers still cold:
Unfortunately we do not offer lessons but we do offer Gender specific swimming times:

Please talk with your DDA case manager prior to coming to the pool. Between the client and the case manager they will decide which program is going to be best for them. If a support staff is needed, classes such as water exercise would be a good option where we will have staff in the water instead of a support staff.
