Want to be a swim instructor or a lifeguard? Well you're at the right place! We hire employees age 14+. We train all staff to be Instructors and Lifeguard certified (if not already). We are always looking to grow and hire year round!
Fill out an application and send in your resume to us. You will get an interview scheduled via call or email by management. Once in the interview, you will be discussing your application, resume, following a series of questions related to the job. Note for interviews: Please have a copy of your resume and application with you. We will likely check your references.
All employees begin with one unpaid shadowing and then 7 paid training days, where they are immersed into the environment and get to learn teaching/ guarding hands on. Note for shadowing: Teaching times are usually in the evening on week days and morning on Saturdays. Lifeguarding opportunities are throughout the day.
After shadowing and training, we will check in with you about your confidence level. If all is set, you will set your schedule and have your first real shift! We have monthly trainings for staff to practice skills relevant to the collective needs and/or upcoming happenings.
With the Worksite Learning program, you can earn Career and Technical Education (CTE) credits through your job—like being a swim instructor at our pool! It’s a program where you practice what you’ve learned in a CTE class while working in the real world.
Here’s how it works:
Every 180 hours you work earns you 0.5 credit, and 360 hours gets you a full 1.0 credit!
If this sounds like something you’re interested in, talk to your College and Career Advisor to get started. For more details, check out the full program on their website!
Our end of year campaign is live! If you support our programs, hopes, or community goals then find your way over there to our donate page!
The registration dates for 2025 are out.
[Reminder]: Please remember our pool has scheduled breaks for our staff and we will not be available to answer questions at these hours:
